"LIES"
Release Date: 1 December 2017
The second episode of Dark picks up right where the first episode left off, with Mikkel having disappeared. The police are investigating his disappearance, but they are not having much luck.
Meanwhile, Jonas is having strange visions and nightmares. He sees his father, who has committed suicide, covered in black liquid. He also sees a mysterious man in a raincoat.
Jonas's friend Bartosz finds a cellphone in the bag of drugs that he and Martha found in the caves. The phone has a single number programmed into it, which belongs to a man named Erik Obendorf. Erik is a boy who went missing a few weeks ago.
Ulrich, Jonas's father, is also investigating Mikkel's disappearance. He finds out that Erik was working with Jurgen Obendorf, Erik's father, to sell drugs. Ulrich searches Jurgen's property, but he doesn't find anything incriminating.
At the end of the episode, Mikkel appears to have returned home. However, when he tries to use his key to open the door, it doesn't work. A teenage boy answers the door and tells Mikkel that he doesn't live there.
The episode ends with a mysterious man in a raincoat watching the scene from a distance. He has a map of the caves in his hand and he seems to be looking for something.
The second episode of Dark is a more complex and suspenseful episode than the first. It introduces a number of new characters and mysteries, and it leaves us with a lot to think about. Here are some of the things that I found interesting about the episode:
- The mysterious man in the raincoat is a recurring character who seems to be involved in the disappearance of both Mikkel and Erik. Who is he and what is he up to?
- The visions that Jonas is having are becoming more and more disturbing. What do they mean? Are they related to the disappearances of Mikkel and Erik?
- The connection between the caves and the nuclear power plant is starting to become clear. What is going on in the caves? What is the power plant hiding?
- The relationship between the different families in Winden is becoming more complicated. What secrets are they hiding?
I'm really excited to see how the story unfolds in the next few episodes. Dark is a fascinating and mysterious show that is full of twists and turns. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys suspenseful thrillers.
Here are some additional thoughts on the episode:
- The episode title, "Lies," is a reference to the many lies that are being told in the town of Winden. The police are lying to the public about the disappearances of Mikkel and Erik. Jonas's parents are lying to him about his father's death. And the mysterious man in the raincoat is definitely lying about something.
- The episode also explores the theme of time travel. The visions that Jonas is having seem to be glimpses of the past or the future. And the mysterious man in the raincoat seems to be able to travel through time.
- The episode ends with a cliffhanger that leaves us wondering what happened to Mikkel. Did he really return home? Or is he still missing? And who is the teenage boy who answered the door?
I think the second episode of Dark is even better than the first episode. It's more complex, suspenseful, and mysterious. I can't wait to see what happens next.
